Dover Quartet
Saturday, September 25, 2021, 5pm
Hailed as “the next Guarneri Quartet” (Chicago Tribune) and “the young American String Quartet of the moment,” (New Yorker), the Dover Quartet was named the first-ever quartet-in-residence at the Kennedy Center and has been called “string quartet nirvana” (Santa Fe New Mexican).

WindSync

WindSync “is a wind quintet like you’ve never heard or seen,” (Classical MPR), known for their intimacy, joyfulness, and thoughtful programming.
Recent winners of the Concert Artists Guild and Fischo competitions, they approach their mixed repertory of wind quintets and arrangements with the highest level of artistic dedication, “pushing the boundaries of wind quintet performance with youthful, pop-rock sensibility” (Winnipeg Free Press).
WindSync takes a special interest in reaching children, families, and underserved audiences, with their concerts for young people reaching over 10,000 students each year. Bring your children and grandchildren to what promises to be a truly exciting performance.
Alessio Bax

Combining exceptional lyricism and insight with consummate technique, Alessio Bax is “among the most remarkable young pianists now before the public” (Gramophone).
Following First Prize wins at both the Leeds and Hamamatsu International Piano Competitions, he has become a familiar face on five continents, not only as a recitalist and chamber musician but also as a concerto soloist with many of the world’s greatest orchestras and conductors, and participant in many major summer festivals, including Verbier and Aldeburgh. “Perhaps the most elegant of today’s young pianists” (New Yorker), Alessio Bax is—as the New York Times wrote—“worth getting excited about!”

Susanna Phillips

Alabama-born soprano Susanna Phillips continues to establish herself as one of today’s most sought-after singing actors and recitalists.
Ms. Phillips is a recipient of The Metropolitan Opera’s 2010 Beverly Sills Artist Award. Known for her sparkling portrayal of Musetta in La bohème, Ms. Phillips has sung at the Met for 12 consecutive seasons in the roles of Musetta, Pamina, Donna Anna, Rosalinde, Antonia/Stella, Micaëla, Donna Elvira, and most recently as Countess Almaviva – a role very close to her heart.
Role highlights at the Met include Fiordigili, which The New York Times called a “breakthrough night”, and Clémence in the Met premiere of Kaija Saariaho’s L’amour de Loin. Ms. Phillips was also a featured artist in the Met’s Summer Recital Series.
